SHENZHEN TOURNEYJUNE 27-29 

Ladies,

This is a pre-emtive shout out to those who are interested in participating in the first annual Shenzhen Int'l Hockey Tournament.

General idea:

• Head down Friday June 27 early afternoon back Sunday night
• Estimated costs: tourney fee:700RMB, hotel (4star): 450RMB per night (double) or 225RMB shared, SH-SZ airfare will be approx 1800RMB return
• 'be goodtoimes - Shenzhen is a fun city...we had a great time in HK last month and expect the same again this time around!!!!!

SWISS-NewJersey Nanjing Visit  (April 3-5) 

-- The SHC is a sport/social club where you can find an outlet for friendly competition in a social (beer drinking) environment eh!!

Round robin. First game Friday night, second and third games Saturday. The team from New Jersey cannot make it Friday night, for scheduling reasons we will therefore throw together an extra team from Shanghai Friday night to play New Jersey's game against one of the Swiss teams. Please advise if you are interested to take part, this means two games Friday night. Games will be 2x20min running time (5 min warm-up, 1 min between periods, no OT or shootouts, puck drops 5 min after Zamboni is off)

 

Cost:

 

Icetime: RMB 200 (for 3-4 games)

Train tickets: RMB 200 round trip

Hotel RMB 280/night (RMB 140 if share)

 

Train options:

 

* Thursday night 6.55pm train, shinny Thursday night 10-11.30pm. YES!!!!

 

* Friday 9.45am departure, arrive 11.43am. Hmm....

 

* Friday night 2.21pm train, arrive 4.40pm. Booooo!!!!!!

 

* Return Sat 4.42pm, arrive Shanghai 6.50pm. Party in BBB from 8pm.

 

"Cultural outing":

 

For the guys that are traveling up Thursday night or Fri morning I am planning an outing at 1pm Friday to the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum (interesting and very disturbing museum showing very graphic evidence of atrocities carried out by the Japanese when they invaded Nanjing in the 1930's) Let me know if you want to join, also the Swiss guys are going.

 

I need the following info from you:

 

* Which train?

* Shinny Thursday night?

* Extra game on Friday night?

* Join museum visit?

 

RMB 400 for train and ice due latest at the party coming Saturday March 22 or at Wed/Fri shinny this week. Please reply ASAP and arrange payment this week, I have to buy train tickets coming weekend.
