Nanjing Playoff Weekend

League members,

It is GO time!  We are in the final boarding stages of that annual tradition, the Nanjing Playoff Weekend!  Here are some important points to be aware of before, during and after the playoffs.

No Shinny Thursday March 18th or Friday March 19th

This year we have a special treat for the Nanjing tourney, no hockey bags on the train!!  Bombers scoring legend and all around nice fellow Thorsten Hinrichs has offered the services of SHC sponsor Asian Tigers Group to deliver all our hockey bags to Nanjing and back this year.  Because of the timing involved there will be no shinny on Thursday March 18th so that Thorsten's posse can get all our bags to Nanjing in good time.

The Nanjing rink closes at 10pm nightly so there will also be no shinny on Friday night before the weekend games.

Hockey Bag Pickup/Drop-off Schedule

Here is the schedule for getting your hockey bag to and from Nanjing without having to carry it on the train:

March 16 @ 22.30 pick up of equipment - Songjiang University Students Sports Centre (Songjiang Daxuesheng Tiyu Zhongxin) 松江大学城体育中心 Wenxiang Lu 2000 (Songjiang) 文翔路 2000号


Bags will be inventoried - don't just throw it on the truck. All equipment MUST be in a zipped bag and labeled.  Sticks MUST be taped together and labeled.  NO loose equipment will be collected.
  


March 19th @ 6.00pm deliver to Nanjing - Nanjing Fangyuan Hotel



March 21st at 12.00-2.30pm pick up of equipment - Nanjing Ice Rink



March 23rd players pick up equipment at Malones (6.00 - 7.30 p.m.)


Whoever does not show up can pick up at Asian Tigers warehouse which is out of town and can not be reached easily. Asian Tigers assume no liability for any equipment that is being left with them during the summer.

Train Ticket Payment & Pick-up

Depending on what you selected here is what you need to bring to the Saturday March 13th final league game and give to your captain:

Round Trip Train and Banquet Dinner - 360 RMB / person **


One Way Train and Banquet Dinner - 235 RMB / person


Dinner only - 110 RMB



** 12 "lucky" people on the Friday evening train can opt for a slightly cheaper 1st Class ticket on a first come first served basis and their payment will be 340RMB, please see your captain if you want this option.

Red Guard Jersey Order

We are a few jerseys short of placing the last Red Guard jersey order for the 2010 season.  This is THE tournament jersey, if you want to go to a tourney with a Shanghai team you will need one of these and they are SOOOO much better when they are personalized with your info.  Just imagine:
