Hope everyone has had a great summer!!! The 2008-09 season looks to be exciting with a new full-sized 8000 seat rink to play on - 'be goodtoimes!!

MARCO YE -- THANKS BRO!!!

The illustrious Marco Ye will be stepping down from the Exec this year, he's married now and we all know that means that he must spend his time making babies and not silly SHC stuff!!!!

We'd like to thank Marco Ye for his tremendous contribution to the SHC last year as a member on the League Executive. Marco sacrificed alot of his time to the SHC cause and he will be missed in a big way.

Thus, the league is requesting NOMINATIONS to fill Marco's spot on the exec this year. Please send your nominations to icehockeyshanghai@gmail.com . Deadline for nominations is Aug 24. From the nominees the top 5 will be taken for a league vote.

BANGKOK TOURNEY OCT 29 - NOV 2 

 

No one really has fun at this tournament -- however being as selfless as we are we feel we owe it to the SHC body to go to the trouble of arranging  a team or two to go down to participate...

Flights: Leave morning of Oct 29th, return afternoon Nov 2

Deposit : 800 RMB/120 USD

DEPOSIT IS CONFIRMATION, deadline: Sept 8th

HOCKEY LONG-WEEKEND NANJING AUG 1-3 

 

 

Lads and Ladies,

Time for hockey in Nanjing again! Full-size rink and good times guaranteed!
 
Departure: Friday Aug 1 at 6.55pm from Shanghai Train Station.
Return: Sunday 4.42pm (arriive Shanghai 6.50pm)
 
3 or 4 ice sessions, 1 hour per session (Fri 10pm, Sat am TBC, Sat 8pm, Sun 11am)
 
Train tickets: RMB 230 round trip
Hotel: RMB 280-400/night
Ice: RMB 400
 
Buses for transportation in Nanjing will be available as usual and is included in above costs.
 
Feedback on choice of hotel is welcome!
 
Anybody is welcome to join, no matter you skated with us before or not! New players are very much encouraged to join so that we can get to know you before we draft the league teams for coming season.
